Pregnancy Massage

I have undertaken additional massage training in Pregnancy Massage.  This massage may help to ease some of the muscular aches associated with pregnancy.

What to expect during a treatment:

Pregnancy massage is generally carried out with the client lying on her side, with pillows used for comfort and support, to enable the most comfortable lying position whilst pregnant.  The massage is a combination of through towels and directly onto the skin.  The client will remain in their underwear and the body will be covered with sheets or towels except for the part currently being worked on.  Oils are used to help with the massage movements.  The massage will start with gentle relaxing strokes, then they will change in style, to allow muscular tension to be reduced, and the session will again finish with soothing strokes, so that the client will leave feeling calm and relaxed.  The massage will be adapted to the clients individual comfort levels and requirements of the treatment.
